Ingredients:
- 1 cup of organic sprouted chickpeas
- 1 large beetroot
- 1 fresh lime
- 1/4 cup organic extra virgin olive oil
- 1 crushed garlic clove
- 2 dessert spoons unhulled black tahini
- 2 pinch pink Himalayan rock salt
- 2 pinch cracked organic black pepper
Method:
- In your Vitamix or food processor place your sprouted chickpeas together with your extra virgin olive oil, pinch of salt, pinch of pepper and fresh squeezed lime juice. process for around 1 minute until chickpeas are evenly broken down.
- Take your washed beetroot and cut in half. Grate your beetroot and add the contents to your vitamix & blend for 1 minute.
- Add in the rest of your salt, pepper, garlic and black tahini. Cover and blend for a further minute.
- Stop your machines and take a spoon to the mixture, mixing the contents from the sides down into the middle. Cover and blend until mixed evenly.
- Place your raw hummus in bamboo bowls and serve with chopped raw vegetables, flaxseed crackers or even a sliced green apple
